We've been having a madly busy time since our last post! We are really proud of all our Practitioners and all they have been doing within their local communities. Have a peek at our yearly report.....

Business in the Community

Our ethos has always been one of giving back. We are a home based business in Market Drayton, with National & International Practitioners & Consultants, through whom we have been able to touch many people and communities.
Over the last nearly 11 years we have organised Ladies Charity Pamper Evenings, sponsored events and promotions, among other events, to raise money for charities close to the hearts of our Practitioners , Friends and Clients.
Our yearly aim is to raise £1000, but the last couple of years our total topped £7,000. We have now set ourselves this as a target for this year to send a life limited child and their family to Florida in December through the Caudwell Children's Charity.
As well as National cancer charities we have supported Severndale School, Severn Hospice and Headway in Shrewsbury, Gentleshaw Wildlife Trust and Market Drayton netball team. For some of the events we have been able to access match funding.
Eight local Primary Schools and 2 Secondary Schools have been supported by Evanji at events yearly. We have also been able to support schools in the wider Shropshire area, such as Telford and Pontesbury, through our team. In some schools we have talked about Health & Wellness as part of  the PSHE Curriculum.
We have supported our Clients in their fundraising, one of whom is walking the Great Wall of China for Make-A-Wish by holding events and have collaborated with other local small businesses to support Their fundraising. We integrate our business into the community by giving talks to local groups such as the WI. With clients from the age of 9 to 90 we aim to support all age ranges.
When we organise Ladies evenings we collaborate with local Shropshire businesses, Therapists and stall holders inviting them to take part. This promotes networking amongst these businesses and promotes them to the guests on the evening.
Through our networking, both withinShropshire and externally, we have been able to forge links to help local businesses. We lead a Mastermind group to help 6 local business women to reach their full potential and have been mentoring a further Shrewsbury based business, helping them to forge collaborative links to move their business forward.  As a part of this we have initiated a community project with them to generate dresses for children overseas and have so far sent over 200, mainly by a new local contact.
As a company we have been working with one of our Practitioners to duplicate our good practise from Shropshire into Staffordshire by creating a networking business support group. This is for Ladies starting out in business, wanting to grow their businesses or just needing self development.
Wherever possible we source business items, sugar for our sugarpaste and all stationery supplies locally, but certainly within Shropshire. Other items that we manufacture in house, such as exfoliating mitts, have their raw materials sourced locally.
Our skincare is sourced from a company which is carbon neutral and shares our ethos. They in turn have their own Charitable Foundation, from  which we have already had recognition for our support.
We consider ourselves to be an environmentally friendly company, using only products in our treatments that share this ethos. We do not advocate the use of toxins as these affect the environment and we regularly promote educational information regarding chemicals in products to our clients via social media. Our sugarpaste and all the products used in the sugaring process are biodegradable and we encourage Practitioners to compost them! Our packaging is recyclable and we encourage Practitioners to return pots for refills! We have reduced our use of paper and ink by using email for invoices and Dropbox for sharing information. All our empty ink cartridges are recycled with the proceeds being donated to charities and we collect all our used stamps for The Guide Dogs for the Blind too! We encourage Clients to donate theirs.
Being a home based business we cannot offer work experience, however we have been able to help some of our younger Practitioners to start their businesses with flexible payments. We constantly look for opportunities for them and have been working closely with Start Up Britain to this end. We have sponsored a young lady to complete her NVQ in Business Administration and have been proud of her success, mentoring her to now work freelance in this area.
We believe that you get back what you give.
